Shipping and Returns
From 1 August 2024 (Happy to discuss if the T&C's below are not clear)
Doors are typically picked up late Friday and Early Monday for delivery as follows:
Currently our carriers do not travel to Gisborne, very Far North or the West Coast.
Delivery can generally include to properties near to the main route between these main towns*. Please note we are referring to the actual township, it is really hard to prescribe accurately, but basically the area covered by the Post Code for the town. Generally you will know from other ecommerce sites and general deliveries how your address is likely to be treated, if you need to be certain please drop us an email - this is easier than a phone call as we will need to look it up and may need to discuss with the carrier too.
We generally use furniture type trucks (often with trailers) that operate to a reasonably set schedule, so also please think about the access for a driver who doesn't know your area. Truck Drivers are often reluctant to go down roads where they may find turning difficult.
Deviation off these routes may not always be possible either as they have schedules to maintain, so if you are rural or more than a few kilometres off the main transport routes, doors may need to be dropped at a rural service centre such as RD1 or some other business where you have a relationship and the store will accept goods on your behalf. We do not have depots outside of Auckland or Christchurch.
These trucks are operated by a single driver usually delivering to business addresses, they do not have Hi-ab's and for large doors will expect some assistance to unload.
* Main town is generally on main transport routes and has a population of more than approximately 3500 people, but there are exceptions like Coromandel, Opotiki and the South Side of Mt Taranaki which are not on the usual road to any other main town so transport operators generally charge a premium. We also cannot deliver to Waiheke, Gt Barrier, Chatham or Stewart Island or similar areas.
Damage
Claims for transport damage need to be submitted within 5 days of delivery including photographs to support the claim. The door may be required to be available for inspection by the carrier.
Returns
As all doors are made to order we are not able to accept returns, unless the door is damaged during transport. Orders can be cancelled prior to manufacturing, there will be a $50 credit handling fee deducted from your refund.
Pick Up's are no longer available. Basically following the Red Light settings in Auckland we have reviewed our general Health and Safety policies and decided that with the volumes we have, it is no longer safe to have casual customers attempting to pick up these doors.
